Darrow — Bring Your Kids to Work
A pair of animated films created for Darrow, a tech company, as part of its Bring Your Kids to Work initiative. The films offer a playful glimpse into the company's culture through the children's perspective, bringing together their voices, observations and illustrations.
During the event, the children took part in podcast-style conversations about their parents and their work. I shaped these recordings, together with illustrations created by the children, into two short animated stories.
From conversations to animated stories
I listened through the recorded conversations, selected the strongest moments and edited them into two cohesive audio pieces, shaping the narrative before beginning the animation.
Bringing Their Drawings to Life
With the audio edits in place, I turned the children's illustrations into the visual building blocks of the films — cutting them out, animating them and combining them with additional elements to build each scene around their stories.
